I will no longer do any business with Mercari. Their entire rating policy is a scam. According to Mercari a buyer may only rate a seller if the buyer keeps the merchandise and completes the sale. In my case the seller advertised a NEW item. They sent a very used, broken tool. I filed a complaint and sent back the tool. By returning the item I am not allowed to rate the seller. So, in my opinion, it is obvious that you will never see a rating for an unscrupulous seller because one would not complete the sale if sent the wrong item.
