Mercari is basically a blackmarket for counterfeit items. BUYER BEWARE> Mercari is truly terrible. I purchased an item (airpods pro) that seemed like the real thing at a decent price. When I received the item, packaging looked legit, case and airpods themselves looked great. Upon first use, they functioned as expected. So, I submitted my review. But upon using the headphones regularly, I discovered numerous issues that ultimately led me to call apple customer support, where I discovered that the serial number on my item had been reported over 100 times. Clearly, I had a counterfeit item. I contacted Mercari customer service. They stonewalled me. No response except citing policy. Company takes no responsibility for protecting buyers from counterfeit items. If you read through review, return and cancellation policies, clearly drafted to protect sellers.
