I'm really disappointed with Linkedin. It's been a terrible 24 hours as I have really needed Linkedin Premium for a while,(I was a customer before) and have a number of projects ready to goI've never complained on anything like this. It costs me money to complain as I should be working and to be fair, I know I don't have to deal with them personally after I am up and running anyway.Plus, they are very successful and have a monopoly so I feel my efforts will be futile. I've just purchased a new premium account, set up my first project of 22 people, (11 were first contacts) so it should have taken 11 credits.I wrote the template, (bearing in mind I have set up many projects and know what I am doing) highlighted all the candidates to send the message to all 22. I then clicked send and it said message failed to send with the retry button next to it. I click retry, nothing, happens, I click more and more but nothing is happening. I decide to leave and go back into the project to try again. As I go up into the message box in the project it says I have no inmails? It turns out every time I was clicking retry it was firing off 11 credits at a time, to the 11 non connections in the project! Normally when your messages have been sent it says messages have been sent and it closes the box. Nothing, it was like the screen had frozen and I was clicking the retry box. By definition you only retry if there's an issue and that's a box that you clearly only use if something goes wrong.Despite the 11 people receiving between 8-10 inmails each within seconds, (i.e the time it takes to click a mouse) Linkedin have said that they cannot see an anomaly. So they haven't been duplicated.I told them what had happened, it didn't say they had been duplicated. I said I was clicking retry and It must have been firing off 22 inmails at a time one after another. 22 being the total, but 11 were my first contacts.Worse still, now, within seconds I've have sent 198 inmails to 22 people! This will ensure my response rate will dip below 12 so I could end up with losing various features temporarily on top of this. Not to mention that 11 candidates were spammed within second 10 messages. Their glitch has cost me a months worth of credits in seconds basically. And that's it from support, (who you have to liaise with via email). No anomaly no issue.
