LinkedIn is a rubbish company. My account was hacked and I contacted them. After 3 days they got back and asked me to upload government ID.This was somewhat comical, wanting me to upload an important document when security on their platform had already been proven compromised! Anyhow I did it! I have not heard from them since, 3 weeks ago despite them wanting to "help me gain access to my account as quickly as possible"!So if you must use them, be sure to switch on two-step verification and check password! Otherwise, just ditch them.
