Refund instaed of replacement

The folks I talked to were all very pleasant, but sadly not well trained. I wanted a replacement, got a refund!! Original purchase included a sleep cover. If the rep intended to give me a refund, a logical question should have been, do you want a refund on the cover also? This caused twice the effort and time on Rakuten and for myself. Poorly run process.
