I was very disappointed with my stay .Check in took forever and I had to wait for my room there only seemed to be one member of staff doing all the check insI booked the Guildford hotel as I had seen great things about there spa but I very disappointed with a number of aspects .Firstly the woman on the main desk as you walk into the spa was on her phone and don't even look up and she presented a sullen and cold not a great first impression ! The spa its self was need a good paint job it looks shabby like it's been haphazardly patched up the floor is filthy the tiles need a good scrub or replacing and then I was told the jacuzzi is currently not in use ? I have stayed at other holiday inns were the jacuzzi is working so this was disappointing. The spa reception is cold and uninviting and looks like you have been burgled it's just an empty space ? When I saw the photos online it was all very vibrant and warm and not open and cold .I wanted to have my nails done and in a photo I had seen there was a lovley nail area overlooking the pool when I got there I was told that you no longer office this service ,I would of thought this would of been something you would always offer as I know I do and I am sure im not alone in that I always have my nails done when staying away . However I felt I must say what an amazing experience once I was meet by the spa therapist attentive professional and the treatments were I think the best I have had so this alone was the highlight .The bar staff were no where to be seen food took forever .This could be a great hotel but needs some tlc .
