Signed up for a free trial. My fault- I was foolish enough to assume this would be handled professionally. I didn't verify my account, and used the trial for 1 day. No emails or communication from Hootsuite at all from the day I signed up until today.Today, I get a notification from Paypal telling me they have deducted £360 from my credit card. NOW I get emails from Hootsuite confirming my membership, and sending me invoices etc. It's a DISGUSTING way to operate a business. Underhand, immoral and pretty disgusting for a company of this size. Any other company advises you that a debit is due, giving customers the visibility and transparency to make an INFORMED DECISION as required by the FCA.I wonder if this is a way for them to boost profits and earn interest in the time they hold your money for?I have requested a refund and will not hesitate to take this matter further if they do not comply with this request
