POP telecomMy father passed away and I closed the present broad band account which the contract had ended to find a cheaper alternative.Found POP telecom on comparethemarket. Filled in info. The following day my phone was continuously ringing which when I googled it showed it maybe a scam.I got an email from the same number to show it was POP telecom so I rang back. The chap said that the cooper connection to the property is disconnected and offered full fibre for more, and this would take 10 days to install. I said that’s no good I need it now for CCTV protection of the property. The sale guy said what ever broad band you have it will take 10 days.I said I only wanted a cheaper service on the cooper cable it was on. He insisted it would take 10 days and even reduced the price. Common sense is an invaluable tool, I said the last provider was happy to continue for another few months. So this means the cooper was not physically cut through and it was a few taps on the computer keyboard to reconnect my service. So I felt all he wanted was his commission, no compassion for my father’s passing and the lies.
