Simply the worst 'household name' company I've ever experienced. 1. The cameras are terrible. Yeah, they have some fancy features that help them get a good marketing reel, but that's if you can get them to work. Endless bugs and failures mean that you'll be lucky to get 20 uses out of this expensive box of wires. 2. They are not actually waterproof... advertised as waterproof to 10 meters is quite simply a lie. I use mine for kayaking and it is never more than 3 feet under water. The lens is shockingly badly made and water leaks in like a sieve. Mine no longer turns on despite careful and proper use. 3. Their customer support is without a doubt the worst I have ever encountered. If you want to replace your awful camera after it inevitably fails then you must have gopro subscription (yes, pay more money on top of buying the stupid thing) and then even with the paid subscription it takes 120 pounds to get it replaced. I have no idea how they justify that and to be honest it feels illegal with consumer rights laws, but I'm no expert. When you pay all of this money, you at least expect a good service. I was quoted 6 days turnaround. This later became 6 working days, as an excuse for being late. This then became 6 working days, after they have received and assesses the box of wires that they call a camera. 22 days after starting the process, they finally got round to sending a new camera, after I had missed the chance to film an amazing kayaking holiday. They simply do not care. It is now even harder than ever to reach a human, it seems that they have an 'error' on the chat feature that makes this impossible. I will never buy another gopro in my life. The better option is to buy about 10 alternative action cameras for the price of 1 gopro + subscription and then just have backups ready, that way you don't need to wait for weeks and weeks every time the gopro gives up. They are beyond awful, I cannoy understand how this company continues to dominate the market. Please look elsewhere, they deserve to go bust.
