Have been aware of MF since the 90's. Finally stepped up to being my own agent in 2020 after decades of mutual funds. Don't wait that long. My subscription to Stock Advisor and Real Estate Winners have been worthwhile. Timing was poor regarding too many SAAS stocks. Do diversify broadly. Do your own thinking, too. I started out buying many recommendations. I have become over diversified. Too much to really watch, not enough in any one thing to catch a rocket. More, I have come to realize that the Wall Street bubble extends to the MF's DC hq. If you look at a particular rec and think "but what about...." don't be afraid to step back and watch. You might miss out on...something. Like watching a melt down, or the company's best gain. They do make "timely" recommendations sometimes, things you should decide now, not next week. Think long term, but don't be afraid to disagree with a rec.
