Wow, I cannot believe this is a thing! But even worse, I cannot believe I allowed myself to get sucked into this completely unprofessional and risky marketplace! I have purchased 4 records so far with 3 out of my 4 transactions being terrible experiences. Of these 4, I only have one in my possession and I ordered all of these roughly around the same day or one day apart. I had about 75 other records that I was planning on purchasing, but after the poor customer service and lack of response, I am moving to another online vinyl seller. On top of dealing with these unreliable sellers, when I sought help from Discogs "support" (twice) I was ignored just like the sellers that disappeared after receiving my payments. There is no semblance of professionalism that exists within this poorly run marketplace and there is surely no accountability to the sellers who operate in less-than scrupulous manners. I got excuse after excuse from sellers that they were either away or working! After I receive, or don't receive, my final records, I am deactivating this account immediately! Sadly, my recommendation would be to strongly caution people away from this unreliable and risky marketplace. And, on top of it all, I had to come leave my review here because if I would have left a review worded like this, or similarly on Discogs, it would have been grounds for me to be removed or suspended from their community! I find it utterly ridiculous that expressing one's displeasure over the lack of response or poor customer service results in punishment!
