My boyfriend and I have covid after being forced to sit in an airplane for an hour and a 1/2 after landing in Atlanta on July 23rd. While on the plane we found out that they had canceled our connecting flight. We were lied to and told that all the airlines had canceled the rest of their flights for the day when Delta was the only one.We missed our hotel reservations and plans with our friends. Is Delta going to reimburse that? I am a delta elite credit card member And a almost a gold medallion member and my family is really getting tired of these things happening. If something is not done to fix this situation(reimbursement for all the losses)then I will be canceling the expensive credit card and and flying someone else from now on. You guys messed up our return trip from Italy through Boston as well in March and almost refused to let us get on our connecting flight where we had been upgraded on our way to Jamaica last year even though you knew our plane had landed. You already had given away our upgraded seats before the boarding finished! We had to beg to get the 7 people from our connection on the plane and didn't even get to sit together. I'm not sure why we still use your airline even now after all these issues!That makes a LOT of problems, not to mention the absolutely DISGUSTING hotel (a Clarion near the airport)that Delta put us in when they canceled our flight and rebooked us 24 hours later!You simply cannot keep treating customers like this. I want money back for what you screwed up without jumping through hoops! I spent hours on the phone with no help. Chat with no help. Delta, you are on life support right now.
