I booked a flight to travel to Hawaii for my 30th birthday. I requested a specialty meal (vegan meal) because I can’t eat meat. I asked the flight attendant named Lisa who delivered my food to confirm there’s no meat. She says very rudely, that she’s “unsure and just the delivery person”. I politely asked “can you ask the cook or someone to confirm there’s no meat?” “UNFORTUNATELY NO! You can just read the ingredients right there” she replies rudely. As if I haven’t read the ingredients already. The ingredients on the container does not state there’s any meat however, there was an ingredient that looked like a piece of meat. So now I’m unhappy because I’m hungry on a 8hr flight and Lisa is telling me no one on the flight can confirm if there’s meat. I asked another flight attendant named Ceferino to assist and he stated it definitely looked like chicken. and will ask cook to confirm. Ceferino confirmed it was chicken and apologized on behalf of Lisa and the incorrect meal I received. I really appreciate Ceferino. He was very pleasant and patient. I would give Ceferino 5 stars if I could. I rated my experience poor because of the rude flight attendant and all I had to eat was fruit and juice on an 8hr flight on my 30th birthday. Lisa needs to be fired and find a career that better suits her positively and not negatively!
