Very good Dell Service. Not without some hiccups though.

I have a Dell Vostro 7590. I have had many problems with it, some hardware problems (touchpad problem) and accidental damage (mea culpa).I had bought ProSupport service when I had bought the laptop. Rightly so. To my experience, Dell Vostro is not the most robust laptop but Dell ProSupport is doing great to make it up. Next business day on-site support means, your problems are resolved without much fuss.It was not all smooth sailing though. In some cases it took ages to provide the parts (the right keyboard etc) but I was told it was due to pandemic supply-chain problems. That is quite plausible.There seems to be a high walls between Dell regions. When I first had the hardware problem with the touchpad, I happened to be abroad (Turkey) which happened to fall into another geographical region of Dell. I was told by Dell that the spare part was not available in that region and it was not possible to transfer it from another region. Why not by the way?Another problem was directly with the Dell Netherlands. When Dell could not provide the spare part, they offered a replacement. I had to travel back to the Netherlands for system replacement. Why? I was in Turkey and they also have Dell there. Why could they not deliver via them? I guess simply because of "Computer says No" work culture (from TV series 'Little Britain').Anyways I have traveled to the Netherlands for system replacement. I had chosen the specific configuration of my laptop (a separate GPU with own memory etc) for my Data Sciences needs. I have mentioned to this to the Dell representative. But the system replacement department of Dell does not seem to listen. In complete disregard, they have offered a system completely incompatible with the specs and a system which is far inferior than my existing laptop with missing spare parts.When I rejected that, they offered another system, one which is even worse - actually the worst spec one in Vostro line. Why? What point were they trying to make?Anyways at the end the problems solved. I think in the last 2-3 years, all parts in my laptop have been replaced. I mean all.Aside from special circumstances of the pandemic and those strange practices I mentioned above, Dell has taken care of my laptop. I am very happy with Dell ProSupport next business day on-site service. Both in The Netherlands and Both in Dell Turkey.I am also very happy with the 'Dell Cares' social media support which is available on-line anytime and they are very helpful. One thing though, Dell Cares is pretty good in resolving software issues but, it is always better to call ProSupport during the office hours. When I had the touchpad problem, it took me I think a few months and several OS re-installs to realize that it was a hardware problem.All-in-all I am very happy with Dell. THANK YOU DELL!
