They made changes to their software/system as a result of which crucial features don't work on my laptop/OS anymore - which is, admittedly, not a spring chicken at this point, but still. If this were Apple, I'd understand their attempt at planned obsolescence, but why would Deepl.com support that rather than cater to older systems as well?? On a tragically ironic side-note, I am a translator, and the reason why I cannot afford to buy a new laptop is the damage that Deepl itself has done to my business in the first place!
