BP Papakura ....“Double Standards”!!!Ignore LineHaul Truck DriversBUTPander to NZ PoliceJamie Hare (Truck Driver)7hrs ago3.30am BP Papakura,New Zealand.Unsure how I feel about this.As a truck driver BP will not open it's doors to use the toilet, you cannot purchase a coffee and there is no food available.“However if you are a police officer, come on in and relax while we make you all a coffee.Note: No social distancing either while standing around.”*******PLEASE SHARE THIS POST*******This is a post from a fellow truckie. I decided to repost it as I had the same problem at the same station, but without the crowd inside. I have just Driven from Auckland to Wellington with not one available public toilet nor service station, that could provide a toilet or even a Hot coffee. To be honest it's pretty bad to get this sort of treatment especially when we are literally out there in difficult times as it is, making sure the general public and literally every household in the country have available to them all the essentials they want at the local supermarket. Yet as a truckie delivering these goods we don't even get a damn toilet made available to us nor a refreshment that we are still willing to pay full price for.. Eg A coffee. Its pretty damn s**t and I'm gutted. I literally feel like we should all just stay home and get the government subsidy that everyone else that works full time gets because working like we are we don't even make the cut.We get enough s*** as it is including slammed for taking too much space on a god damn ferry across the Cook Strait just recently just because some numpty wanted to get to the other side and felt the trucks shouldn't be on the ferry and cars should be priority! How do some people literally think shelves at the supermarket get filled, if trucks are parked up and produce / food is delayed. Yet these are just a few of many situations that really make me wonder..Please NZ government, NZTA, BP. We're not wanting to spread this virus either and we're pretty well educated when it comes to public safety. We don't even mind standing at a night window in the pouring rain just to get that coffee. We don't mind atlest a portaloo at the truck stops just to go to the damn toilet. I'm not fully putting the blame on BP but when you go up to a night window and get rejected a simple hot coffee, Then to see this!! Most fellow truckie's aswel as myself are Basically Beside Ourselves!!
