I was initially a big fan of Booking .com. It seemed like a legitimate website to book hotels and flights and I had no problems with it. Everything is swell until something goes wrong and then you’re left to defend for yourselves!I booked an accommodation in Singapore ‘7 Wonders’, who through booking .com’s messaging system, sent me a strange link and threatened to cancel my booking with themselves if I did not fill out my personal information on the attached website.Upon clicking the link, I was warned by safari that it was unsafe and I was at risk of being scammed. Unsure as to the situation was regarding my booking, I contacted booking .com’s “24 hour” customer service, where I did not get a response (it has been 2 weeks now). So, I tried ringing some sort of customer service number as they don’t have a proper one. It took 20 minutes to get through to someone who hung up on me instantly and did not bother to call back. I have decided to cancel the booking myself and use a different website to book my accommodation. Be warned that they don’t have a proper customer service team, so if any problems arise, you’re stuck in the mud.I won’t be using this company going forward. .
