defect after one year, burden of proof on buyer

I bought a bicycle helmet at bol of almost 140 euros. After barely one year, the outer shell spontaneously fell off the helmet. I assumed that bol would respect the legal warranty period of two year and provide a solution for a product that should last several years of normal use. After all, I need the helmet daily for my commute. But no. They shield themselves with the fact that the burden of proof is on the buyer. How should I go about proving that the product was not assembled correctly. simple really what there are only two small caps of glue hanging from the shell, far too little so to hold a helmet together safely.So my experience is that to sell bol is good but the after sales service after more than one year is so nil. They immediately put the burden of proof on the buyer. So be warned! They respond with we will look in to it, but untill now 31/08 nothing received.
