Being a Barnes & Nobles member, I ordered three books on October 7 two of which arrived just today, i.e. after twelve (!) days. I am aware of labor shortages and all sorts of supply chain issues and am also cognizant of the fact that these two books are more back catalog titles. That said, I felt that a delivery time of 12 days is quite a bit for a leading bookseller. To be blunt, your competitor with the capital “A” in its name most likely would have accomplished this task in a much shorter time. So I admit I am somewhat disappointed by this shopping experience. What’s more, it seems as if I am being charged twice for the two books since, although the proportionate amount for the two novels had been charged to my credit card account a few days ago already, the same amount due to Barnes & Nobles shows as “pending transaction” on my account again.
