I have been a fan of AVG for many years. The constant sales push is irritating, and got beyond a joke when the system kept nagging me to purchase licences I already had. When one product clearly didn't work I went through the laborious process to seek a refund - much more complex than the purchase process. When nothing was heard after 3 weeks, I phoned - it was this experience that prompted the review. The first 3 minutes were spent with a chatbot, the next 5 with an operative that couldn't help. The final 10 were spent with someone who told me that the case had been closed without being processed because I hadn't followed up with them! They then tried every trick in the book to transfer the payment to other products before reluctantly agreeing to a refund.
