I have bought a £1300/$1500 Asus laptop- a RTX 2060 in fact. I had high expectations. At first, there was nothing bad, apart from a slight underwhelming keyboard and bad trackpad, which I could live with. Then I benchmarked it, and I was shocked to see that it would only run Minecraft (at low settings) at around 25-50 fps. Yes, sometimes it ran to it's full potential but only when you've just started it and when it's cool. But that's the problem- under light gaming the laptop heats up to 35-40 degrees, and it won't run any game at over 70 fps. Then, it wouldn't connect to my WiFi and I was forced to use an ethernet port. On a "portable" gaming laptop. Shame on you, ASUS. I had higher expectations.
