Sent a gaming laptop back for a replacement battery because it isn't something the average user can replace - they need to do it. Unit is out of warranty, so expected to pay out of pocket. Paid $89 just to have it looked at. ASUS sent me a repair bill for over $1400 for cosmetic damage, even though the laptop works fine with a power cord. They refused to just replace the battery without paying for the other repairs. Their repair policy should be more specific. I will never own another ASUS computer - PURE JUNK.Update: I contacted ASUS' CEO line. They called me a few days later and refunded my $89 + tax diagnostics fee and apologized. I am still unable to get the battery, however, I'm happy that they didn't charge me for the diagnosis. If you are experiencing the same poor service, contact the CEO line, and hopefully, they will correct it.
