Very arrogant and frankly offensive in their tone.I held an Amex for at least 20 years, and in all that time I have never once failed to pay of the full balance in time. They wrote to me advising that they had 'reviewed my account' and as a result felt that I may be having difficulty paying and therefore needed to put up my interest rate.I wrote back to them asking them to explain their offensive letter and there response was along the lines of 'thank you for your letter telling us you are having difficulty paying'. They basically didn't even read my complaint let alone answer it and simply found a slot to pigeon hole me in to. Put me in the 'customer with payment problems' slot even when my balance at the time was £nil. The thing is I don't give a stuff what rate they charge me. I've never paid them a penny in interest and never will but their arrogance towards their customers is appalling. So I don't use my Amex any more and it used to be my card of choice - shame.
