AMEX Offers No Protection – Zero Support!!!I have been trying to get a refund from Travel Up for months, and despite providing three email confirmations from Travel Up clearly stating that my full refund has been accepted, AMEX has done nothing to help. I’ve spent enormous hours for the past THREE MONTHS on calls and chats with AMEX, repeatedly reopening the case, only for them to close it without any notification. They continue to chase me for payment even though the merchant has confirmed the refund. It feels like AMEX is deliberately trying to make the process so frustrating that you give up. AMEX refuses to remove the charges from my account – even with three written confirmations from the Merchant company, Travel Up.I want to escalate the matter to Financial Ombudsman to file a complaint against AMEX however they refuse to issue me their final complaint result. Their so-called "protection" is a lie. AMEX will waste your time, ignore clear evidence, and offer no real support when you need them. Their agents disconnect chats mid-conversation to avoid dealing with your issue. Stay away from AMEX if you expect any level of consumer protection. They are useless when it comes to resolving disputes and will do everything possible to avoid helping you. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. STAY AWAY!! YOU ARE NOT PROTECTED!! Don’t fool yourself!
