I want to comment on my case so that it does not happen to other people, especially for residents of Colombia, but also for those who live in countries with import policies such as Colombia. I bought a book offered by Amazon with a cost of 20.80 Euros and that says “FREE shipping available”. It was a big surprise when I received a notification from DHL informing that to receive the book I had to pay 20 Euros !!As I urgently needed it because it was the gift for my wife, I paid this sum in the hope that Amazon would somehow resolve the cost overrun. But it was not like that. Amazon's response was that they were very sorry but the over cost charge is generated at the Colombian customs office and is not an amount that belongs to Amazon. But this is not true; The problem is not the taxes applicable to this purchase because in Colombia they are relatively low in terms of books. The cost of 19 Euros corresponds to “Shipping Handling” which is what Amazon offers as FREE. So this is an alert to those who buy on Amazon because the "FREE Shipping" is false!
