Extremely disappointed with Amazon Australia!I had been a regular customer, purchasing books for my Kindle and the occasional physical book.In June 2020, my account was fraudulently used to purchase a hideous object that looked like it would be intercepted by the AFP. As soon as the email generated, I quickly jumped on to my account to contact the seller, explain the situation & cancel the order. I definitely didn't order, want or need this item in my life. A month later, I tried to access my account, but it had been shut down. Immediately called Amazon to try and find out what happened.And so began my weekly calls to Amazon... On each occasion I was told that my account had been deactivated due to fraudulent activity & they were going to escalate this with their Fraud Team. I was told on each occasion to expect a response within 24-48 hours. After receiving no response, I'd follow up again. I would then receive a generic email requesting payment for the fraudulent item which I did not order, want or receive. If it wasn't $269 dollars, I may have just paid it to stop the drama! I wouldn't be able to use my account until paid by the looks of this email. Sometimes I'd receive this email in Japanese (which I don't speak/read), other times in English. Yet to hear from an actual human to help me resolve this issue... Wouldn't mind being able to use my Kindle again... Extremely frustrating!!!
