Today is my wife's birthday, one of those big numbers. I ordered her present well in advance and paid for expedited delivery just to make sure it arrived on time. It should have arrived 2 days ago. It has been out for delivery for the last 4 days. So today, her birthday, no present. She thinks I've forgotten but I haven't. I contacted Amazon but the poor support person could only apologise. What should have been a happy day is not thanks to AmazonUPDATE: Amazon has refunded the full price I paid for my wife's gift knowing that it is still in transit. Eventually her gift arrived, the courier had also dropped the ball. Lesson learned: order important items will in advance
