I've been a good customer for years and on Prime. About one month ago I ordered eye drops, which were to be supplied by a third party. The package arrived late and was eye GEL, not drops. I immediately complained to Amazon. No reply from the supplier - to this day. Pursued it with Amazon repeatedly and after a couple of weeks they refused a claim and wrote that I could not return the item. Further complaints in writing and eventually an email apology authorising a refund and stating they couldn't tell me what measures they were taking against the supplied. I complained that the response was cursory and inadequate and that I had cancelled Prime and not placed any order with them since. I successfully got the eye drops cheaper and promptly on E-bay. The utter indifference of Amazon beggars belief. They used to be responsive to good customers. In my experience, no more.
