I purchased the Feliway Classic 30 Day Starter Kit from Amazon UK on 25 May 2025, hoping it would help my cats feel calmer. Unfortunately, the product turned out to be completely faulty — it overheats as soon as it’s plugged in and releases a strong burning plastic smell, which made me worry about fire or chemical safety.When I tried to request a refund, Amazon not only delayed the process, but also asked me to submit a copy of my government ID, which I found excessive and intrusive, especially for a low-value item with a clear fault. This whole experience made me feel like I was being blamed or distrusted, even though the issue was entirely with the product. It’s extremely frustrating and disappointing to be treated this way as a loyal customer.I sincerely hope Amazon reviews its policies and stops putting up barriers for customers trying to resolve issues caused by unsafe or defective products.
