Amazon.ca has really lost it's shine. I wrote in my delivery instructions to send via Canada Post and NEVER use Purolator. I needed something asap and the delivery was for 2+ weeks later. Chat is horrible, they changed 3 different people chatting w me in a short time. They talked me into joining prime and reordering but the delivery date didn't change. I asked them to delete prime, and they assured me they did - not telling me that I needed to go to my email to follow their link to actually complete the cancellation. The entire experience was unpleasant. Next, I tried calling. I cannot understand their English. Every time I try using the phone option, the customer service agents are almost impossible to understand. Then I feel like a jerk when asking them to repeat. also, the amazon agent wasn't exactly pleasant - I felt that he had disdain in his conversation. Customers should not have to put up w agents who cannot speak clear, good English. It's getting this way everywhere. If amazon gave a crap, they would upgrade their customer service to actually assisting the customer. Even after my settings had not to use Purolator, Amazon did. Not only that, but they shipped from a far province, when it was a common package and I'm sure they could have shipped it from much closer. Purolator missed a connection, and I avoid them for a reason. Another thing, amazon, Purolator, and most other companies are using Covid as an excuse for sloppy service. Several places are giving horrible service (it's Covid's fault). I believe that Amazon is purposefully delivering slower for those who haven't bought prime - to prod them into purchasing prime. Even a year ago Amazon delivered faster w/o prime, and I think they can't get enough money and Prime is a big payday.I'm looking to buy elsewhere. Supporting brick and mortar businesses is a good thing bc Amazon would love to force everyone to need them bc everyone else was forced out.
