1. Called Agoda on 12 Dec to update the email address of my platinum account as there was no option to do it through my own account. Agoda claimed to have done it during the phone call, then assured me that the email address has been updated and confirmed that I can login to my Agoda platinum account with the updated email address, but it turned out to be a bronze account with no booking history. Agoda lied to me.2. Called Agoda again immediately to ask about this, and was assured by Agoda that the account is a platinum account and it takes up to 24 hours for the account to be updated from bronze to platinum with all of my booking history. Agoda assured me that I could go ahead and make a new booking then and I would enjoy platinum privileges, including a cheaper rate. To date, after a year, the Agoda account is still a bronze account with no booking history, proving that it was never a platinum account. Agoda lied to me again, and scammed me into making a more costly booking with a bronze account instead of my platinum account which would have been cheaper.3. Since it had been more than 24 hours and the Agoda account was still a bronze account with no booking history, I wrote in to Agoda. Agoda replied on 16 Dec that the account would undergo a change and it takes approximately one week to complete. So Agoda frivolously changed its own timeline from 24 hours to one week just like that, lying again and again with repeated false claims. Regardless of 24 hours or one week, it has been weeks and the issue remains so Agoda has simply been lying the entire time.4. As the issue remained unresolved given Agoda's numerous lies, I called in to Agoda on 28 Dec to highlight three issues: (a) update my Agoda account email address; (b) reinstate my platinum status with all my booking history to the updated Agoda account; and (c) resolve the scam booking and rectify Agoda's repeated lies that misled me into making a new booking at a more expensive rate without my platinum privileges. The Agoda service agent did not resolve (a) and (b), and told me that he couldn't do anything about (c) as it was made under the bronze Agoda account and I was calling about the platinum Agoda account. He told me he needed the booking ID of the new booking and couldn't retrieve it since he only had access to the old Agoda account. I then provided a very simple solution - I would provide him with the booking ID that he claimed he needed. He then told me that he couldn't do anything even with the booking ID. So why did he lie that he needed the booking ID? When I could provide him with the information that he claimed he needed, he then changed his tack and said nothing could be done? More lies from Agoda. I then asked him how Agoda would resolve (c). He did not reply and simply hung up the phone on me. So Agoda was lying again and this time round, hung up the phone abruptly midway through the call while refusing to resolve any of its issues. All this time, (a) and (b) remained unresolved too.In short, Agoda has been lying to me repeatedly, scammed me, and refuses to resolve its issues while hanging up on me abruptly and refusing to reply my emails too. Avoid at all cost!
