I originally started my search for a travel package on Booking.com, but was redirected to Agoda when selecting a flight + hotel combo. Trusting the connection between the two platforms, I booked a trip for two from Abu Dhabi to Cyprus, including round-trip flights and a hotel stay at the Crowne Plaza Limassol.Everything seemed confirmed until — just one day before departure — we received a vague cancellation email. After hours of calling Agoda, we were told multiple stories: that the flight was being rebooked, that someone would call us back (no one did), and finally, that no alternate arrangements were made.Worse yet, Wizz Air confirmed we were never even on their flight list, despite Agoda listing the flight as “confirmed.”After escalating repeatedly, we eventually received a partial refund — for the hotel and the initial flight to Cyprus. But Agoda is still refusing to refund the return flight, even though we never traveled and were not listed as passengers on either leg of the journey. This situation was not our fault, yet Agoda has made the process exhausting and unclear. We’ve sent multiple messages asking for the rest of the refund — with no reply. We lost not only time and money, but also our planned vacation. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I would strongly caution other travelers against relying on Agoda for package bookings.
