My family has been a loyal member of AAA since 2015. After almost a decade of wonderful, timely service, it seems the magic of this company has run out. While driving home from the store yesterday, my tire blew out. I quickly contacted AAA at 8:29PM, and they sent me a link saying they received my request and that my ETA for help would be at 9:17PM. At 9:15PM I received a call from AAA saying they received my request and that they would let me know when someone was en route to my location. At 10PM, after receiving no further updates, I contacted AAA, again. After waiting an additional 10 minutes to be connected to a representative, I was told the company they had contacted to help fulfill my request, did not answer so the representative assured me she would contact dispatch and I would receive a call back with an update on my request. I never received a call back. I chose to contact AAA again at 7:52AM the next day. It is now well past 9AM and I have yet to receive a call back or update of any kind. I’m blessed that when my tire blew, I was close enough to my house that someone could come pick me. If I would have only had AAA to rely on, I would have been stranded for over 12 hours. If this is how customers will now be treated and serviced by AAA, even with an upgraded coverage plan, than it is in my best interests to find a different company to seek when I need roadside assistance.
