Review of abebooks

I caught this site advertising on…

I caught this site advertising on Amazon my pirated books. My previous published books that are not available for 5 years because the publisher went out of business and were never available as Ebooks or pdfs are being advertised by Abe Books. I requested that Amazon take all previous Ads off because they are no longer available and I own all rights to them. I published a new edition then all of a sudden these old ones popped up without permissions.

No.1 Sales Prevention Software

Have been using SFDC for 15 years at different companies and each time the same utter agony. From the perspective of a front-line salesperson using the system is the best sales prevention tool out there. Even with an unofficial plug-in to add keyboard shortcuts it takes way too much time to update the database. Once your data is in there good luck in getting it out as export opportunities are extremely awkward and limited.Do you want to find the data you put in? The reporting tool is awful and the search reminds me of altavista in 1996. Despite all the bells and whistles there is no end-user configuration to speak of to edit the interface. The Outlook plug-in is a badly coded joke who syncs contacts only at will. The mobile app is even clunkier. As for support - there is none.

Neil is the Tip of the Spear of SEO

Neil, I subscribe to your youtube channel and have it playing on my computer every day in the background while I work on the digital marketing initiatives for my real estate business. I listen, learn and implement on my 3 32 inch screens. I am 63 years old and studied marketing in college in 1977 to 1982 pre internet. I am a career real estate broker that has been successful by talking what the project or brokerage offers as far as leads and augmented these opportunities with my self taught database marketing as far back as 1987 with ACT. in 2015 I returned to get a college degree online and graduated in 2017 then took a Udacity Nanodegree in Digital Marketing. I first started following you in 2017 and your content is always relevant yet explained in a way that is very easy to understand and I want you to know that it has helped me to learn many concepts and strategies that i continue to use daily. As Mohr's Law accelerates change in the DM space especially with AI it is even more important to be on the cutting edge which is where you reside. i often say that "If your Director of Marketing is not on the tip of the spear then you get the shaft" and Neil Patel is always at the tip of the spear and on point.

Review of mailerlite

They lied! I paid $820, 6 hours later they terminate my account and "no refund"

They lied saying everything looked "great". But terminated my account after 6 hours and no refund. 820 usd gone. In my 26 years in IT, this is the most bizzare interaction with a company I have had. I say "bizarre" because their support went above and beyond to on-board me and convinced me they were a great service. Now I see it as part of a planned fraud. Fraud as in "seemingly looking for every reason to kick a client out". My story is not unique.I was very clear about not being an expert and I needed help. Their guidance and assurances meant nothing.Naturally, I will demand a chargeback from my bank. MailerLite admit to things that helps them dig their own grave.Their support helped me migrate, said everything looked good after sending my first campaign. The support staff and I spent about 4 hours to making sure everything was correct and verified. They seemed like the best support ever. But 4 hours of customer support and 820 usd later meant nothing. 6 hours later (4+2) they terminated my account for "spam". The spam rate was 0.09%! That's low. The bounce rate was 0.42%, very very low! Opening rate was high. - All positive signs. They have an anti-spam policy, as they should. Their own support said beforehand that the main issue they look at is if the bounce is 5% or more. I was not even 10% within that danger-zone. Their support confirmed to me that I was nowhere near at risk. The clients are mine, I have all the proof in the world but MailerLite don't even offer to look into this (even though they say in their own terms that they should). They compliance staff said "too many unsubscribe", 3.5%. What? Unsubscribe is a function for self-sanitation of an email list, not spam. Newsletter subscribers are suddenly not allowed to change their mind? Sure, a consistently very high unsubscribe _could_ be a red-flag in combination with other warning flags. But occasional high unsubscribe (just 1 for me) is while everything else is far within limits is perfectly normal. -- And this is exactly the fraud!I consulted with several others (that know email marketing better than me) about this case and the confirm that this is no reason for termination due to "spam" as this is not not even a spam-classification. I am a client that buys a service that can do things better than I can. - But they expect that I am an expert in every way, even better than their own support. And I am expected to predict arbitrary opinions that are NOT industry-standard in any way.I paid for a month, I got 6 hours. "No refunds."Their terms say that they will reach out if something is off and may request proof that it's my clients. They didn't. I disputed in a polite and well-crafted email, but they said explicitly they "can't reveal the details" why the terminated my account, but mentioned that the unsubscribe was one of the reasons. - At this stage, to prevent themselves from acting as a pure fraud, they should offer a refund. But no. "No refund."This was effectively a setup were the customer support lure you in and assures you that everything is done correctly and successfully until you have paid. Here is a quote from their last email from their compliance department: "I can see that your account had been approved, however, we do continuously check recently approved accounts based on system notifications. [...] After a careful review based on the mentioned above, we’ve decided that we will not be able to continue providing you with our services.""had been approved, however" means that their approval meant nothing and they artitrarily allow themselves to do whatever they want, whenever they want."not be able to continue providing you with our services" means exactly that THEY choose to cancel. They admit themselves to approve you, then disapprove you but keep the money. That's essentially the definition of a scam. Actually, it's theft, because they take back from you what you paid for. Great proof to my bank for my charge-back.I was transparent about what my website was, what my list contains, about my concerns and my true wish to do everything as well as possible. None of that mattered. Whatever the customer support say, does not matter.

Review of care

Care.com doesn't Care,

As a care.com potential employee, they do 0 to protect yo.ur information. When I tried to contact them, it was IMPOSSIBLE. When I supposedly got someone to communicate with, they never addressed my concerns. They take 0 responsibility for their site. Clearly Care.com doesn't care

Review of facebook

In october 2024

In october 2024, my Facebook business page was hacked, and the consequences were devastating. This incident not only affected my business presence on Facebook but also led to the complete erasure of my personal Facebook account. Over 15 years of memories, connections, and cherished interactions were wiped away in an instant. The most heartbreaking loss was the messages I had exchanged with loved ones who have since passed away. These messages were irreplaceable pieces of my personal history and held immense sentimental value. The thought that these treasured conversations are now gone forever is profoundly upsetting. After the hack, Facebook informed me that I had six months to appeal the decision and attempt to recover my account. I took immediate action and regularly submitted appeal requests to three different Facebook email addresses provided for such issues. Despite my persistent efforts, I never received a response from any of them. My appeals seemed to fall into a void, leaving me feeling helpless and ignored. This experience has not only caused emotional distress but has also highlighted the lack of effective support for users in situations like mine. Losing access to years of personal and professional content, with no avenue for resolution, has been a deeply frustrating and disheartening ordeal.

Wow, Etsy scam

Wow! What a scam! I paid $31.99 for a hat. Supposedly delivered 6/4/25 - 6/7/25. Today it's 6/10/25. Not too bad, but I thought I would just check using the so-called tracking number. Yeah, right. Etsy says this order or tracking number doesn't belong to me, even though this was sent to my email. I tried to reach the "seller"; "Oops, this page isn't found". And so on and so on. Total scam. I should have known better than to buy from a sketchy site. I learned a thirty two dollar lesson.

Overall I am happy with the site

Overall I am happy with the site, the only thing I would like to see changed is the photo contests. When it went from monthly to quarterly, it meant fewer contributors can participate. Because of this, I would like to see it go back to monthly, but each one month one would last three consecutive months. This would allow both more contributors to participate and more time for participate to develop more good work.
