Review of eventbrite

It's unfortunate you can't rate below 1... Eventbrite is shockingly incompetent.…

It's unfortunate you can't rate below 1. But it is staggering that at over 700 reviews EventBrite is sitting at 1.1? That's almost a statistical anomaly! Even truly terribly products or companies - with more than 20 reviews - would tend to hover in the 2.0-3.5, because a lot of people who review online are inherently overgenerous or just give 5.0 if a product or service was as described (but not exceptional). So it would be bad if they were averaging 3.0, but to get to 1.1 you literally have to have 98% of your users/reviewers hate your service so much that they've gone to the lowest possible rating. That's actually an achievement! Maybe they could hire out Eventbrite designers to sabotage other companies, allowing favourable takeover terms for a hostile acquisition? I could list 100s of systemic flaws, glitches and design errors so I'll just pick one: you can't add multiple events to the mobile basket. Sounds minor? Not when you have to book a regular meeting & want to do it for the year ahead. Each date required over 40 (yes 40) clicks or swipes in their Mobile website on Android to complete checkout. This is because it reset every time, was clunky to navigate, zoomed in on each menu and then (because you can't just fill your basket & pay at the end like Amazon be our EVERY online shop ever) had to go through bank 2 factor authentication because buying 15 very small amounts (£10 each) from one website in a short time naturally triggered my bank's security checks. Utter rubbish. We all need to push event organisers to use alternatives; face it they'll never solve all the issues with Eventbrite, better to scrap it and start again.

Review of eventbrite

Stay well clear.. Fraudulent Business

1 star is too good for this shocker of a company. How they are still in business in beyond me. I booked tickets for an event which was cancelled and never rescheduled. Contacted the organiser for a refund and he replied agreeing to send full refund, that was the last I heard 3 months ago. Contacted Eventbrite on multiple occasions but just get an email with a generic response. Surely they have a duty of care to assist people. Contacted the ombudsman and trying to claim my money back that way. Don't use them.

Review of booking

I had booked a return flight to Miami in September 2025 but 2 days after I booked I had to cancel. I had chosen booking.com from the alternatives provided by skyscanner. I thought booking.com would the best established and therefore best provider. However they are only prepared to give back a small percentage of the original booking despite the fact they have 3 months to resell it. Not happy.

Review of nest

Nest owes me money for replacing a faulty heat link. I did everything they asked me to do which was contact a nest engineer and arrange a replacement, pay the engineer and forward that invoice over to nest customer services. Slow to respond and can’t authorise anything without permission from their supervisor who are extremely tricky to try and put me off from chasing my money. 4 weeks on I’m still owed money. So I’m writing this review so hopefully you read this before you buy a nest product because you will have technical issues and they will fob you off with any lies to help you only at your expense.

WORST BOOKING SITE.

WORST BOOKING SITE.Hidden charges. No refund policies. Overcharges. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Unreliable.1. One of the accommodations is a scam, and they have not taken it down yet; payments have already been taken.2. For flights and hotel bookings, wrong dates were booked despite double checking for some reason those dates pushed through.3. Unreliable user interface.4. Customer Service BAD.5. So many hidden charges. They'll show you discounted prices, yet you'll pay more than you're supposed to book. Booking directly will be cheaper.6. Stupid surcharges.7. It's difficult to get ahold of a person for CS.

Review of zillow

Tenant application is fraudulent

The application from tenants can be fraudulent. I accepted this tenants based from Zillows Tenant Screening and it cleared the applicant of criminal and civil background. Fast forward after 6 months, I evicted this tenant this month and somebody told me to look into the public records and behold the tenant have several (both) eviction and other civil and criminal background from 10 years to current this year, I would have not accepted this tenant should those tenant screening reflected the correct report. I am sharing this so other landlords be warned to use other screening service

Review of Stack Overflow

The community is horrible

The community is horrible. Instead of actually reading the question, they just downvoted, nitpicked about variable names, nitpicked about using streams to read a text file (which wasn't even important by the way, it was literally just an example to add more code), and then closed the question for not having enough focus. Maybe they meant that the community didn't have enough focus to actually answer the question, I have no idea.

Thieving Criminal Company

I originally purchased their 2-pack image set. My auto-renewal account option setting was turned off. After downloading 2 images, no problems. A few months later, I again purchased the same 2-pack image set. This time, immediately after downloading 2 images, I received an email notification from PayPal that I had been automatically charged for yet another 2-pack image set due to auto-renewal. I contacted their customer service chat and was told that my account was set to auto-renewal, even though before I contacted them I had checked my account and the auto-renewal setting was off. I explained to them that I had changed NOTHING and had not yet downloaded 2 images, but they outright refused to refund my money by saying it was against their policy. I filed a claim with PayPal, but they also refused to refund my money. Shutterstock is outright stealing money from customers by having their computer system automatically change customers' auto-renewal account settings without their knowledge or consent. Avoid this thieving, slimy criminal company like the plague. You have been warned!

Review of kroger

The Kroger's Chapel Hill Commons need better leadership.

The Kroger's Chapel Hill Commons need a little help. There is never anyone around you can ask questions to assist you find anything. The pharmacy has non-caring employees. I always seem to have a problem getting my prescriptions filled. I never had this problem when I lived in Atlanta. The Kroger on Cascade was terrific.

Review of jotform

Terrible customer service

I am a private landlord in the UK and set up jotform to gather tenant information. Jotform suspended my account, "told" me I was fake ("creating a fake tenancy agency") and challenged me to prove otherwise. I would have been happy if they had just asked, but their communication was appalling!@Jotform - I see your reply to this review, you can see all my (and your) communications on this topic in your support thread link number 21487313. Obviously I don't wish to be a customer going forward, but if you wish to reconsider your training or processes, it is all there.

Review of domain

Refreshing and hopeful!

I am an older woman determined to find my way through the digital world. I thought I needed to expand and set up some websites, but I was a little misguided. My domains recently expired and I allowed that because I wasn’t getting the use I had intended. Soon after, I received two charges for my domains protection. So I chatted with someone to get these charges refunded. I normally have little patience with chats or robots that act litthey are supposed to be customer service. However, my time with an artificial being was very short and a representative was quickly there to attend to my needs. I explained what I needed and with little to no fuss, I received my refund. In fact, the longest part of this transaction is the review. They are a good company and I was taken good care of. I have no complaints. Maybe they could teach the others.

Review of Bing

Bing is a vicious virus

Yes, Bing is a vicious, dictatorial, Anglocentric virus that seeks to prevent you from doing anything against its wishes. Truly appalling. If you can, avoid at all costs. But all the time, I have to make two clicks to prevent it from taking over, trying to make me accept it as my default search engine. The mere appearance of Bing makes me shudder. Bing should be illegal.
