22 minutes ago my son asked me to help him use Zoom for the first time. We finally got a meeting going. After, 35 clicks, having to download and install software that we weren't told about until after we signed up. Then, to practice without him sitting next to me seeing info, we ended it and I tried to figure out how to invite him to a meeting. Never did. So, unlike every other face time application or software out there, zoom take scores of clicks, isn't intuitive, and has constant pop ups trying to sell you something. It was like AOL in 1995 with all the pops ups. But in fairness, AOL actually made sense. You clicked twice and got what you wanted. AOL, please show Zoom how to be a tech company.Update: Took over 10 minutes and dozens of clicks to delete account. That right there tells you everything. Retail folks know the art of design manipulation. Get 'em in the front door and rat maze them into a sale. I'm sure this is what Zoom, like all Google, is up to. If you can't be forthright and make the "experience" as many today think every interaction with tech needs to be, efficient, then you aren't a tech company. You're bloated spyware.
