DON'T DO IT - it is a rip off.So I heard the ad and thought that using Zillow would be a great way to sell. I thought well I would get a few bucks less than selling via an agent, but that would work. I talked to the friendly realtor from Zillow and shot / sent about 40 pictures of the house. They came back with a written (but non committal) offer of $440K minus 10% in fees. The $440K seemed low. I called in a real estate agent and he suggested that we list at $539K with a 5% total all in cost, and that I would have cash in my account within 90 days. That worked for me. On the 19th day after listing we had two offers. The first was all cash at $500K and the second was at $535 close in 30 days. We closed 30 days later at $535.DON'T DO IT - it is a rip off.
