The Rudeness of staff Hits a Whole New Level

The Rudeness of staff (Manager) at 333 Oxford Street was completely unacceptable. I stupidly requested if another till could be opened - this is at 13:55 today - 11th December 2024. There was a huge queue and just one member of staff on a til (he was obviously new and was asking another staff member for help with something and looked very nervous and worried about the length of the till) The manager was standing around behind the till area talking to two other members of staff (she had been around the tills for a while, which is why i asked for a till to be opened, instead of staff just standing around unpacking paper bags at the till area (not serving any customers). Customers in the queue were grumbling to one another that there was only one till open, so i politely asked if another till could be opened. The Manager (very terse looking and speaking woman) responded that she doesn't operate tills - so I suggested maybe someone else could. She mumbled some rather disparaging comment about me - not quiet enough so I didn't hear, I hasten to add - and rudely responded one was being opened. All the staff around her honestly looked terrified of her - and given her manner it was hardly surprising. I actually told her it was poor customer service to say disparaging comments about customers. She accused me of shouting at her (which i absolutely did not) and walked away. Other customers commented that they couldn't believe how rude she was and that they would put a complaint in about her. All staff refused to give her name or staff number - one very quietly recommended I contacted head office! I suspect she was quietly praying I would!I am honestly still shocked!I know their customer service is appalling, but this was on a whole new level! Its not surprise they struggle to find staff - who would want to work under a manager like that!! No doubt Zara will provide any response - they never do.
