I run a blog hosted on WordPress.com and its an easy setup which lets one simply worry about the work of writing while the heavy lifting and housekeeping of running a website is done by the platform. For one who simply wants a home for their content, a free WordPress plan could suffice but upgraded plans also come with added perks such as custom domain names and removing ads, although one does not quite get the level of personalisation and customisation one can get as compared to self-hosting. For a power internet user who wants custom themes, plugins and such on their site they would have to upgrade to a business plan but the pricing for that is bit steep compared to self-hosting.What I like best about WordPress.com is the community and it has a reader which makes easy to connect with other bloggers on the platform
