Within weeks after I opened an account with them, I started getting promotional mail from other banks that couldn't have gotten my information from anyone other than Wells Fargo. I made the mistake of not reading their privacy policy more thoroughly which states they'll do whatever they want with your information and you cannot do anything about it. You can find their privacy policy by searching for it on google, and it will likely surprise you how bad it is.They also won't tell you about their selling of your information unless you either directly ask or you look it up yourself. Don't bank here if you care about privacy or if you care about banking somewhere with morals.
