Diabolical customer service,my wife received a WhatsApp message from a friend (which turned out to be from a scammer)stating that she was awaiting for a code but gave my wife’s contact details by mistake ,and asked if my wife could send the code onto her.When my wife received the code she took a screenshot and forwarded back,as she thought she was sending it to her friend (in reality she had sent it to the scammer).Afterwards ,when she realised that something was wrong with her WhatsApp account ,she deleted and reloaded the App but this makes no difference and she is unable to log into her account.She has spent the last few day sending messages to WhatsApp appealing to them for help but all she gets is ,what appears to be ,a computer generated reply which requires her to be logged into the account ,which she is asking to be restored!This is frustrating as WhatsApp is the only affordable way to keep in touch with our children and she is considering changing her phone number of 20 years ,with all the hassle that entails.How can WhatsApp not be concerned that their security system can so easy be accessed, and how come they care so little about their customers,that theyDon’t even reach out by phone to a customer sending them multiple help requests?
