They are not posting my full review of a purchase so I’ll just post it here because people need to know this happens.Don’t buy from here! I purchased a Molini 32” 2 door cabinet. You can get the exact same cabinet, for less money, at Home Depot and avoid all this mess. I had included the link but they won’t let me post it here. Sorry folks. But it’s easy to find in a search. This has been a three week saga. First they sent me cabinet that was broken (my first review is still below). They refused to send me the parts and insisted I needed a whole replacement. Which was so not true but ok. And they want me to go through the ordeal of shipping the old one back which is a first in my experience with Wayfair. Every other piece of broken furniture I got from Wayfair they let me just throw it away or give it to charity. I’ve always had a charity come by and see if they can save the furniture but they take it off my hands regardless. A week goes by after requesting the replacement and nothing shows up. So I reach out to Wayfair again through the chat. I explain how angry I am and that because their manufacturer screwed up I have to carry a heavy box down narrow stairs. As a small woman, the only way I could get it down would be to just let it slide down the stairs. Getting things up the stairs, even for the big guys, is hard because of how narrow and steep the stairs are. It’s an old building. And this box is heavy! Plus this assumes I have a car. How exactly am I going to get this heavy thing to FedEx? Oh yeah that’s the other thing, they’ll only give you a label for FedEx. And you have to print the labels yourself. I don’t know anyone, in the year 2023, who has a printer. So now I have to spend money to print it out. Is it only a few cents? Yes. But now Wayfair is starting to make me lose money and time. The person in the chat told me the manufacturer never put in the order from the replacement. I tell them how inconveniencing this is and he basically told me that I could just not get a replacement and deal with the broken one if I can’t ship the old one back. Absolutely not the response I used to get from Wayfair. But I guess the fact that I’ve received so many broken items from Wayfair should be the real takeaway. I send them an email because now I am super mad. Their apology was to send FedEx directly to me and give me a 10% my next purchase code. 10%? It’s actually laughable. And the window for the pickup from FedEx is 8am-6pm. The entire day. I now have to surrender an entire day for this. If you don’t work from home I guess the message is screw you, lose pay? That’s a lot of money lost if you don’t have the luxury to take time off work. And then they sent me TWO replacements. I asked for the second label, they say they are going to send it to me later. I had a relative who was printing the first label for me and I was so hoping she could just bring both. I still don’t have the label. So it seems I’m destined to go to FedEx no matter what. And since they’re dragging their feet on sending me a new label, I’m guessing the next step is they’re going to have to schedule an additional pick up. I am going to lose two whole days because of this. Mind you they keep telling me that I need to remember to send the broken and now extra items back or I’ll be charged for all of them. They commit a multitude of errors and then talk to me like they are doing me a favor and make a point of threatening me. I have lost SO much time and I’m guessing money because I am absolutely convinced they are going to screw up again and charge me more than $600. All this for a cabinet that is made out of cheap materials and looks…I mean it’s nice. If you went to an unfinished furniture store and bought whatever paint you wanted, you’d probably save money and it would be less physical effort and time. You can build this thing on your own but I had someone come over to help me. So other people are losing time because of Wayfair and this manufacturer. Their response to all of this has solidified my decision to never buy from here again. And it’s sad because I’ve been a returning customer for years. They don’t care. Original review: It was great until the very end when two of the feet fell off as we lifted it after building. It looked like we had ripped it off with force. Nope. The material is cheaper than we thought and it looks like it disintegrated. Hoping they will just send us a new bottom and new feet instead of making us get a new cabinet, rebuild it all over again, and be stuck with a broken one and have to take a trip out to the dump. That would be the opposite of convenient.
