I ordered 2 items - a porch sitting set and a hallway tree (should be called cabinet) - and I only ordered those items since Wayfair offered to add professional assembly for an additional fee, which i paid for.All the packages - 7 total- had damages from being dropped, it looked like the driver just thrown them off the truck in the middle of the driveway in front of the garage. And heavens forbid if you try to return an item after it was dropped on your driveway- you will have to pay for shipping it back and restocking regardless on how damaged the packaging is. The porch sitting set had damages which after some back and forth was mitigated by the manufacturer. After Wayfair takes the money for the items and assembly, they are very much hands-off, and one is left to deal with the manufacturer and Angi, who supplies the pros. We got the porch set assembled, it's a story itself, but this is more about the hallway cabinet. The assembly instructions show it takes 2 people. I contacted Angi and got into this circle of Angi pointing me to Wayfair, and Wayfair pointing me to Angi. Angi suggested to cancel the assembly (4th time on their end) and reschedule for 2 pros - but also told me that Wayfairs description of the project does not warrant 2 assemblers or additional assembly time.It took 9 man-hours to get this assembled. The pro itself was good, but it takes time for 1 person alone to have to manage large items to be put together. I contacted Wayfair a couple of times this am in regards to misstating the item on the website. It's not nearly as easy a job to assembly since they make it out to be. I feel mislead and its also misleading for your pro to come out to a job, and open the box and the instruction clearly state that 2 folks are required. The 1st person from Wayfair this am told me that it's the assemblers fault that it took longer than 2 hours. I suggested that she takes a good look at the picture of the item before making an ignorant statement like that. She then put me on hold and after about 25 min I got disconnected.Between repeated calls, verifications, asking for additional assembly time, being put on hold and getting disconnected several times I spend overall a minimum of 6 hours on the phone/emails with Angi and Wayfair to get 2 projects completed. Needless to say that i will not order any items from Wayfair again.
