Defective product $20 to return

Bought a Rebrilliant bamboo clothes hamper from Wayfair that was defective. The base didn't fit in the L brackets at the bottom and the wire loop didn't fit at the top. Also, the hamper was flimsy and smelled bad. Customer service said it would be $10 to return it or we could keep it & get a $1 refund. It cost $20 to return via FedEx, per Wayfair's instructions & my husband went to 3 FedExs to find one that would accept it. The hamper was $35...such a rip off.Update: The return shipping was $20 and yes, we were charged. So, we got less than half the money back for the hamper, once the shipping was deducted.
