Absolutely terrible experience

Absolutely terrible experience with Vrbo. I booked a reservation that had the option to cancel for a 100% refund within a certain date. I canceled within this date, it submitted as a "Property request change" with the request being to cancel and it even made me submit to the owner why I was requesting to cancel. The owner left it pending so I would lose out on my 100% refund. When I reached out to Vrbo they refused to honor this as well, telling me because I submitted as a "request to change to cancellation" instead of hitting a different "cancellation" button, they wouldn't accept the cancelation. This is ridiculous when I have screen shots and emails proving I had requested to cancel. Vrbo is keeping my full refund from me despite me having proof of cancellation request, which I sent them and they dismissed. They shouldn't offer two ways to cancel and then only allow one after the fact. You can tell they're just trying to do anything to keep extra money at the traveler's expense because when they refused to honor my first cancellation request, I resubmitted a second time for at least a partial refund, they tried to cut me out of almost $200 and not give me my due on the partial refund - I had to submit a case with them AGAIN and ask for the full amount of the partial refund and ask where the additional money was. Unbelievably shady action by a business. I shouldn't have been surprised when I looked up the reviews online and they were all negative. I even saw other reviews on here of them keeping people's money upon requesting cancellations. Beware! Vrbo is underhanded with zero lack of care or concern for travelers.
