Before booking, my husband called Expedia & asked many questions about Vrbo. He was told if we booked, our credit card would not be charged until we arrived at the property. Not true! His credit card was immediately charged. If we cancelled immediately, we would only be eligible for a 50% refund. Upon recontacting Expedia, he was told they could not offer a full refund rather he had to contact the property owners! He has no contact info. Stay away from Vrbo and Expedia!! Obviously Expedia is no longer interested in offering customer service to long standing customers.
