Read reviews here first and was put off.However due to a shortage of accommodation through the likes of Agoda, Booking etc booked through Vrbo at short notice as a host was available.Payment taken immediately. 20m later hosts tells us that it isn't available.Asked host immediately to initiate refund.. Nothing.Called Vrbo who said host had to do the refund. Host subsequently says they have nothing to refund as they had received no payment from Vrbo. They also claimed they had instructed Vrbo to remove the listing some time before we booked.My view is don't trust Vrbo.Indian support is useless and the Book with confidence claim is a claim but worth nothing in my opinionUPDATE: Vrbo have been useless.Had to threaten to involve authorities in the hosts countries to get the host to refund.Out of the 110 Euros I paid, I've supposedly been refunded 89.Contacting Vrbo is made hard, and I'd contact ET easier than them.I stand by my comment originally. Don't use them, don't trust them.
