We booked a trip in July in Savannah, GA. Our STVR was booked and paid for in January. Once we arrive there was a nightmare awaiting. The smell of mold, half the lights didn't work, the refrigerator leaked all over the kitchen flor, mice droppings, and a complete misrepresentation of what the booking was actually like. Now I realize that the issues with the STVR is not the fault with VRBO, HOWEVER, I did a little digging and the host was not even licensed to do business as a STVR and had a pending investigation against him. I went ahead and reported this to the proper authorities in Savannah, GA. This guy's listings are now thankfully shut down, which hopefully helps others from getting duped. My point with this review is that it appears VRBO does NOT verify it's hosts so you're kind of getting a surprise. I will not be using this company's services again and I have encouraged others to follow suite. As a customer I put my trust in a company, that company betrayed trust. I worked hard to earn the money for this trip and I feel it was ruined by this host and company.
