The allow a property to be listed and rented out with all of the below, and do not care to compensate the customer, or remove the property from rent, or have the owner correct the below:Washer, dryer, fridge, dishwasher, air filter, sink, and shower/ tub drains are all filthy. Fridge & dishwasher had discoloration & bad smells coming out of it. Washer & dryer have scaling and hair stuck all over them inside. Air filter completely coated with dust. Shower/ tub drains had hair in them. Dust & dirty hand/ finger prints scattered all around the walls & furniture. Misc. damage all over the walls, cabinets, counters, baseboards, pretty much on everything. The misc. damage could be overlooked, but it should be disclosed in the listing. Cutting board had crumbs on it. Drawers had misc. debris in them. A window was replaced or modified at some point and it appears to be leaking and has black mold all around it. The drywalling around it is poorly done, possibly not painted, and the corner beads are cracked. Electrical blank cover plates were partially covered by baseboards, voids in tiles around old shower fixtures that do not work, electrical cover plates modified or missing-- all building code violations. The voids around the shower had slugs coming in. A skylight is cracked, a window is cracked. There is a cable for the beam above the dining room table that is not screwed in, just hanging from the rafters. It is a great location, and a charming property, it is just not maintained or cleaned properly. This property should not be listed for rent anywhere until the shoddy construction is corrected, and is professionally maintained & cleaned.AVOID VRBO, use other rental agencies that actually value their customers and have good quality control for the property owners.
