Tried to get support after the website rejected my mobile number during account setup. After several days and 15 messages back and forth (with 5 different reps!), it became clear that they were not going to help me. Glad I found out before finishing my account setup, because you **could not pay me** to use Venmo now, lol. The issue, apparently, was a bug in their screening process for mobile numbers. Mine was rejected first for not having SMS texting capabilities (but it has these), then for not being with a US carrier (but it is), and finally for being a VOIP service (it is not). They said they use a vendor to screen numbers but refused to follow up with the vendor and resolve the issue, or to let me do so. Thanks Venmo!!
